Student employees learn valuable skills on the job, but many have trouble explaining how their campus work connects to future careers. This interactive virtual session gives supervisors a simple, practical guide to help students make those connections using AI prompts.
In this 45-minute session, you will learn how to use a step-by-step toolkit that helps students reflect on their work, identify their skills, build resume content, and prepare for interviews. You will also learn how to introduce AI as a helpful tool that supports student thinking and growth without replacing their real experiences or voice.
The session includes a live demonstration showing how to turn a student’s job description into clear, career-ready language. You will also have time to practice creating your own prompts based on student roles you supervise.
In the final part of the session, we will discuss simple ways to introduce this tool to students. You will share ideas with others and explore how to use the guide during onboarding, check-ins, and evaluations.
This session is designed for supervisors at all levels. You will leave with ready-to-use prompts, practical ideas, and tools to help students better understand and talk about the skills they are gaining through their work.
