The launch of Workday is just shy of 2 months away! As we prepare for the cutover from the Human Resource System (HRS) to Workday, June will bring a transition away from automatic hiring into HRS from PageUp.
Current State Reminder:
In the current state, when an offer is created and accepted for a student help role in PageUp, an automatic hire takes place in HRS. A hire completion email is sent to the Student Employment Hiring Representative including the employee name, employee ID and record number, start date, wage, etc.
Future State:
As of Monday, June 2, the automatic hire from PageUp to HRS will be turned off in anticipation of the cutover dates, aiding in the transition to WorkDay. Automatic hiring is not an available option in WorkDay.
As such, starting June 2, 2025, once a student has accepted a position in PageUp, you will need to work with your HR department representative to hire the student into HRS (or WorkDay after July 7th).
What is a cutover?
Cutover is the time established for moving our current campus systems to the new system. For student employment hiring, this means moving from the Human Resource System (HRS) to WorkDay.
Important cutover details:
- Any student hourly (SH) employee hired in HRS with an effective date 6/14/2025 or prior (and entered into HRS prior to end of business on 6/17/2025) will be migrated to Workday by the launch on 7/7/25.
- Any new student hourly (SH) employee with a start date between 6/15/2025 and 6/28/2025 (and entered into HRS prior to 6/27/2025) will require manual intervention by the ATP Team to hire into Workday and could experience delays in system access.
- Any new student hourly (SH) hire effective 6/29/2025 or after will need to be entered into Workday by the school/college/division HR once Workday is available on 7/7/2025, and the student will experience delays in the system (e.g. student will need to backdate their time entry from 6/29-7/7 in a short window before the payroll runs).
